Argyranthemum - 'petit pink' (Argyranthemum, Marguerite)

Marguerite is often used as an mid sized impact bedding plant, producing prodigious quantities of blossom during mid to late summer and autumn. It size means that it is often planted mid border, either among other bedding plants or spot planted between herbaceous plants and grasses. In colder areas it rarely survives the winter months so is often planted in pots and tubs, where it is appreciated for its fast establishment, compact habit and long flowering period.

Argyranthemum can overwinter outside in the UK, but will require a warm sheltered spot in full sun to survive. It will put up with any reasonable well drained fertile soil and can be grown in a container and overwintered under cold glass. A winter mulch will also help protect overwintering outdoor plants. Stake taller plants and propagate by cuttings.
