Clematis armandii - 'Apple Blossom'
Clematis armandii description: This large evergreen clematis produces a large leathery dark green foliage, and is smoothered in clusters of vanilla scented pink tinted (thus the cultivar name Apple Blossom) white blossom in early summer. It will eventually grow to 10m tall x 5m wide - so allow plenty of space - where it can be tied in trellis or grown up existing plants.
Clematis armandii cultivation notes: This large evergreen climber will flourish in sun / part shade but requires a mild climate and a cool root run - so avoid hot dry soils. Tie young growth into support and allow plenty of space for growth as this Clematis grows fast and needs room to grow. Mulch in winter avoiding base of stem.
