Kerria japonica - Cultivation Notes

Kerria makes a decent upright screening shrub, possibly as part of informal shrub planting. Ideally Kerria is planted towards the back of the border where it can do its yellowy business with its spring blossom only to be allowed to take a step back during the spring and summer, as this shrubs habit can be scruffy looking and the foliage is rather un-interesting.
