Lilium - Cultivation Notes

Lily - being a bulb forming plant - prefers a fertile well drained lighter soil so avoid clay or very chalky soils. Planted or moved while in leaf in late summer in a sheltered postion in full or part sun, ideally in groups of 3 - 5 ammongst existing low bed planting. Stake the plants in spring prior to flowering.
