Magnolia x loebneri description: This deciduous small tree bears purple pink star shaped flowers. Spring blossom gives way to green foliage, however Leonard Messel's multi- stemmed structure makes it an attractive specimen - even when not flowering - 5m x 5m

Magnolia x loebneri cultivation notes: Magnolia requires fertile well drained soil- avoiding chalk. Flowers are damaged by frost / wind - so plant under shelter in full / partial sun. Prune out dead / shape in late summer. Mulch annually
