Mahonia x intermedia description: This tall evergreen is valued for its upright architectural form and reddish autumnal colour . Foliage is divided into spinney leaflets. Yellow blossoms are borne in winter on spikes. Ideal as vandal proof screen / tall specimen. 5m x 3.5m

Mahonia x intermedia cultivation notes: This fast growing evergreen prefers moist yet well drained fertile soil in shady / woodland conditions. Avoid hard pruning - limiting annual pruning to the removal of dead wood in spring, cut back main branches if leggy.
