Paeonia lactiflora cultivation notes: This classic flowering perennial flourishes in soil that is both well drained and fertile in full sun. Paeonia will tolerate well drained chalky soil as well as part shade. On planting dig in plenty of organic matter and mulch every few years. Support new growth and flowers in spring.
