Ranunculus ficaria cultivation notes: This low growing native produces a carpet of yellow blossom in the spring, but my advice is don't plant it! that said if you have celandine in your garden already then congratulations, its attractive, its native and might get about but its short enough to live with and it loves moist shade which is a bonus!

Plant Strengths: Attracts wildlife to feed or nest; Tolerates permanently wet soil; Tolerates cold exposed locations; Tolerates heavy clay soils; Suitable for planting in full shade.

Plant Weaknesses: Invasive/spreading root growth; Invasive top growth.
