Rosmarinus officinalis - Cultivation Notes

This tough shrubby cullinary herb will tolerate the driest and hottest conditions and flourishes on poor dry soils, being especially happy on chalky soils and coastal locations. Avoid planting in cold exposed spots or shady spots and avoid rich or heavy wet soils. Trim to shape in autumn.
