Syringa - Cultivation Notes

Lilac will flourish in any reasonable soil (even chalk) in full or part sun. It is very hardy, requiring little pruning. Cut back to 1m to rejuvenate old bushes. Plant in autumn / spring, remove flowers for 1st year.
