Pittosporum Plants

12 plants found in genus "Pittosporum"

A large genus of around 200 semi hardy evergreen shrubs and small trees. Pittosporum is usually grown for its compact rounded form and interesting evergreen leaf colour. Pittosprum makes a fine back of border or informal screening shrub, but some species will also suite trimming into a formal hedge or ball. Pittosporum requires full sun and a well drained soil, being well suited to planting on chalky or problem dry sand soils in a hot dry spot; it also flourishes near the coast but will not appreciate a cold exposed planting location.
