This evergreen is much valued for its dense foliage upright architectural form. Each leaf is divided into spinney leaflets. Yellow blossoms are borne throughout winter on spikes. Ideal as vandal proof screen / specimen at rear of border. 4m x 3m
Mahonia x media - Cultivation Notes
Prefers moist, humus rich yet well drained fertile soil in shady / woodland conditions of any pH. Avoid hard pruning - limiting annual pruning to the removal of dead wood in spring, cut back main branches if leggy.
