Adiantum pedatum (Fern)
Adiantum pedatum description: This fern is grown for its attractive tiered fronds which will grow up to 40cm long. Light green fronds are produced from spreading rhizomes. Ideal for planting in shaded sunken gardens, near water or in woodland.
Adiantum pedatum cultivation notes: Flourishing in any fertile moist soil, this fern requires planting in a damp cool location in partial to full shade. Do not disturb established plants except when dividing (every 3-5 years) remove dead fronds in early spring.

Plant Strengths: Suitable for container growing; Architectural plant – ideal as a ‘stand out’ plant; Attractive form or foliage for all year interest; Tolerates heavy clay soils; Suitable for planting in full shade.
Plant Weaknesses: Will not tolerate exposed, cold or hot and sunny locations; Does not produce attractive flowers.
