Berberis thunbergii - 'Rose Glow' (Barberry)
This deciduous shrub with its spreading habit produces purple foliage splashed with a white variegation and yellow flowers, are borne in spring. Foliage turns an impressive red - gold in Autumn -beware of spines. 2m x 2m.
Cultivation notes: Berberis will flourish in most well drained soils, tolerating all but the poorest of soils. Plant in full sun for best foliage and flowering. Berberis is fully hardy - tolerating exposed locations. Prune to shape in spring - removing older wood to base.
