Carex oshimensis description: This spreading variegated Carex looks good as a specimen in a pot or even better planted informally in groups or 3, 5 or more, where it can be planted in drifts ammoung herbaceous plants and ground cover. Provides all year round interest with its low spreading golden green foliage. Ideal towards the front of the border.

Carex oshimensis cultivation notes: This low growing tufty grass will tolerate full sun but prefers partial shade with decent fertile moist garden soil. Plant ammongst low growing perrnnials in groups or drifts. Mulch every few years. Well suited to planting in a pots or tubs.

Plant Strengths: Provides valuable winter interest; Evergreen foliage for all year round colour and screening; Suitable for container growing; Architectural plant – ideal as a ‘stand out’ plant; Attractive form or foliage for all year interest; Tolerates heavy clay soils.
