Forsythia - Cultivation Notes
This much planted hardy deciduous shrub will tolerate any half decent garden soil in sun or part shade, and is fully hardy just about everywhere. Ideal as an informal flowering hedge or for screening at the back of the border, prune to shape, but leave last years growth for flowers in late winter prefering instead to prune after flowering.
