Philadelphus coronarius cultivation notes: This shrub will tolerate any reasonably fertile well drained soil, including chalk. Plant in full sun / part shade. Prune out flower stems after flowering, remove older wood to base in winter. Plant in Autumn / spring at back of border.

Plant Strengths: Scented blossom; All round tough plant suitable for problem areas; Suitable for container growing; Tolerates heavy clay soils.
