Thyme is an aromatic sub shrub thyme, being a compact low growing staple of any half decent herb garden. Thyme is well suited to growing in small pots within the most limited outside space. Tiny green foliage is born on a wirey mass of short stems and stems can cut and used in cooking.

This compact ground hugging herb requires a dry sunny spot ideally ammongst gravel or paving where it can spread out and avoid smouthering. Thyme will flourish in any well drained soil whether chalky or sandy.
