Achillea is a genus of 85 herbaceous perennial flowering plants. The common name Yarrow identifies Achillea millefolium. The Achillea genus grows naturally in Europe and Asia. These plants typically have finely cut, hairy, aromatic leaves and produce clusters of plate like flat flowers at the top of the stem. Flowers are produced throughout the summer and can be white, yellow, orange, pink or red. Achillea makes a colourful and hardy addition to the herbaceous border.
