This fast growing large tree with its distinctive dark purple leaves will quickly fill all but the largest garden.  Cut back it makes a perfect fast growing dark foil at the back of a border.  25m tall X 15m wide.
Acer platanoides - Cultivation Notes
This native tree flourishes on most soil types and will tolerate extremes of cold.  It is well suited to naturalistic woodland / hedgerow planting being suited to all but the harshest of environments.  Avoid planting under heavy shade
