This herbaceous Eupatorium is well suited to naturalistic drift or prairie planting, where it will quickly grow up to 1 - 1.5 metres in height. Joe Pye Weed is also very attractive to nectar feeding insects and provides late and long lasting blossom, being well suited to planting among grasses and other semi wild herbaceous plants.

Eupatorium is a tough fast growing herbaceous perennial for planting in a position in full or part sun. Just avoid any soil that that is not excessively dry. Eupatorium is especially tolerant of clay soils.
