Gaura has lance-shaped herbaceous foliage which developes into low clumps, producing masses of flower stalks throughout the summer months - being appreciated for having a long flowering period from mid summer though to the first frosts.

Gaura lindheimeri - Cultivation Notes

Gaura prefers a spot in full sun in fertile well drained soils but will tolerate a small amount of shade. Guara prefers a sandy well drained soil where it will put down a deep tap root, making it difficult to transplant after planting.
