Kolwitzia amabilis - Cultivation Notes
Beauty Bush will tolerate demanding conditions in part or full sun. This deciduous shrub is a tough and reliable summer flowerer. Best planted at the back of the border in all but the poorest garden soils - whether dry or wet, acid or alkaline. Prune out 1/4 of the oldest stems to base in winter if congested or spindly, prune only after flowering. Mulch to feed every few years.
