Acacia is a large genus of trees and shrubs that originates throughout tropical or sub tropical regions. Some Acacias are part hardy in the UK and will tolerate coastal or sheltered urban planting. However most can be over wintered under cold glass and wheeled out for spring / summer impact. The acacias will provide a distinctly tropical feel to the garden and are much prized for producing masses of yellow blossom as well as providing all year architectural interest with impressive pinnate cut leaves and spreading form.
