Alnus glutinosa - Cultivation Notes
This tree can be planted into permenantly wet soil, even rivers edge. Tolerating the poorest of soils - wether dry or wet - alder is a tough fast grower that can be grown as a standard tree or be cut back to form a thicket. Ideal as screening on wet soils in full sun or part shade.
