The skunk cabbage requires its feet in water, so plant in a soil that is both fertile and moist. Bog Arum is well suited to planting on the edge of a pond or stream, either in full or part sun. Remove untidy dead flowers in late spring and mulch every autumn. Be prepared for a distinctive cabbage like scent when if flower!
